SECTION III – PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Appearance and Odor:  Appearance will vary widely due to pigments, as will viscosity depending on type of paint. Odor will be a slight ammonia odor, if any.

Wear self contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:

Decomposition and combustion products may be toxic. Material can splatter above 100 C. Dried paint film can support combustion.

Inhalation Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure:

Irritation of nose, throat, and lungs is associated with exposure to high levels of ammonia.

Eye Contact Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure:

May cause eye irritation.

Skin Contact Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure:

Prolonged or repeated contact can cause irritation.

Ingestion Health Risks and Symptoms of Exposure:

May cause irritation or pain to the gastrointestinal system. Chronic ingestion of dispersions may cause kidney or CNS damage.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure:

Preexisting skin, eye, or respiratory conditons may be aggravated by exposure

Emergency and First Aid Procedures:

Eye Contact Flush with water for 15 minutes. If symptoms persist seek medical attention

Skin Contact Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention for irritation.

Inhalation Remove subject to fresh air. Give artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion If swallowed, dilute by giving 2 or more glasses of water to drink ONLY IF CONSCIOUS!

Respiratory Protection In dusty conditions, as occur when handling dry pigments, sanding or spray applying, use

a NIOSH approved dust/mist respirator

Ventilation None required under normal use. When using large amounts, adequate ventilation is recommended (e.g. window exhaust fan).

Protective Gloves None required under normal use. For techniques requiring continual hand exposure, gloves are recommended.

Other Protective Equipment Safety glasses with splash protection or goggles

Work / Hygiene Practices Use safe handling practices. Do not eat, drink or smoke when working with materials.

Avoid excessive skin contact. Wash after using materials. Keep material from children.

SECTION IX – TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

Glow Inc's Waterbased Paints are waterbased acrylic paints and mediums which are not "Dangerous Goods" as classified in the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations. They are not flammable (as described in Class 3 or Class 4 criteria), poisonous or corrosive, nor do they fall within any other class description of "Dangerous Goods".

A "UN NUMBER" does not apply to these materials because such numbers are assigned only to "Dangerous Goods" by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.
